K-8th Grade: Tutoring & Enrichment Services!

"At Judah Empowerment Academy, our vision is to cultivate K-8th-grade critical thinkers, academic achievers, and bold leaders.

The mission of Judah Empowerment Academy is to deliver transformative educational experiences that challenge minds, foster rigorous scholarship, and equip students with the courage to lead positive change in their communities.

I bring greetings to the Judah Empowerment Academy Family. I am Dr. Cherise Roper, and for more than three decades, my life’s work and passion have supported children in discovering the joy of learning. As a former teacher, principal, early childhood director, and district administrator, I know exactly what it takes to help students thrive academically and emotionally. At Judah Academy, we believe true empowerment does not come from lowering the bar; it comes from providing the structural and emotional scaffolding students need to climb over it. We embrace a culture of rigorous academic excellence and teach young minds to respect the process of learning, to think critically, and to articulate their thoughts with precision.

At Judah Empowerment Academy, we believe that every child possesses an innate capacity for intellectual greatness. However, the journey to academic excellence is rarely linear. For many young learners in Kindergarten through eighth grade, early friction in reading, writing, or mathematics can overshadow their true potential.
Judah Empowerment Academy was founded to rewrite that narrative. We recognize that many parents seek more than just homework help or temporary fixes. You are looking for a foundational transformation. Our academy was built to bridge the gap between traditional elementary and middle school curriculum and the advanced cognitive frameworks required for long-term scholastic success. We do this by pairing research-backed pedagogy with decades of educational knowledge and a warm, supportive instructional environment.

The staff at Judah Empowerment Academy believes that providing students with opportunities for inquiry-based and hands-on learning is important for a variety of reasons. Instead of relying on rote memorization, inquiry-based learning helps students investigate real-world problems, ask questions, and formulate solutions. At Judah Empowerment Academy, we have seen remarkable successes in reading, math, and writing, with many students moving beyond grade-level standards.
